- 1 kg of quince
- 0.5 kg of apples
- 0.5 kg of sugar
- 200 ml of pure water
- 1 medium lemon
Recipe for cooking at home
- Apples are washed, peeled and cut into small cubes. Wash the aiva, peel it and cut the flesh into small pieces. Mix apples with quince, cover with sugar and mix.
- Leave the mixture for about half an hour before the juice is formed. Put on fire, pour in water and mix. From the lemon squeeze the juice and strain it through a sieve into a bowl with jam from quince and apples. Mix again and bring to a boil.
- Cook the mixture for about 1.5 hours before thickening with a small fire, stirring. To check quince jam with apples on readiness, it is necessary to drop syrup on a cold plate and slightly tilt it. If the drop does not spread, it’s ready.
- remove the bowl from the fire, spread the jam over the sterilized jars and roll them with lids. Turn the jam from the quince and apples upside down and leave to cool in this position for several hours. Then remove the cans to be stored to the rest of the cans.
