The recipe of dumplings on kefir will be appreciated by the hostesses, who do not have time to stand in the kitchen for a long time, but who like tasty homemade cakes.

- 250ml kefir 2.5%
- 220g flour
- 1 egg
- 50 g of butter
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/3 tsp soda
- 1/3 tsp salt
+ 0.5 liters of vegetable oil for frying
Recipe for cooking at home
- Kefir and egg take out of the refrigerator, leave for 10 minutes at room temperature. Butter, not leading to a boil, melt in a water bath, then remove and completely cool. Add soda to kefir, stir whisk and leave mixture for 5 minutes. Egg in a separate bowl, add salt, sugar and whisk until completely homogeneous.
- Combine the kefir mixture with egg and stir. Flour sift through a sieve and gradually introduce to the kefir mass, knead a soft dough (in density, it should be a little denser than on pancakes). Pour the melted butter into the dough and mix again.
- Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan and put on a fire. In the hot oil put a few portions of the dough (for 1 serving a little less than the ladle dough). Fry the puffs on kefir in boiling oil for about 1 minute to ruddy on all sides.
- Strain the colander with napkins or paper towels, put fried puffs in it and let it soak in excess fat. Meanwhile, add a new batch of dumplings to boiling oil. Fry them until ready and get soaked from excess fat with a paper towel. When serving, you can sprinkle kefir powder with sugar powder or pour honey / jam. Have a nice tea!
