For this recipe, you can easily prepare a beautiful and fabulously delicious cake in the form of a muzzle of a monkey - a symbol of the new 2016 year.

Decorating a cake in the form of a monkey:
- 0.5 kg of milk or dark chocolate
- 150 g of marzipan (home or shop)
- 100 ml of cream 30-35%
- 20 ml of water
Recipe for cooking at home
- Eggs should be hammered into a bowl and left for 15-20 minutes. Beat them with a mixer until fluffy and sprinkle sugar in a thin trickle. Beat the egg cream for about 7 minutes at high speed until a lush and light mass forms. Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder to the egg cream by sifting them through a sieve. Stir with a whisk or a spatula until smooth and transfer the dough into a pre-cooked baking dish (grease it with butter and sprinkle with lime or cover with parchment paper).
- Bake a chocolate cake for cake for about 40 minutes at 180C. Take out the form, cover it with a light towel and leave until completely cooled.
- Remove the biscuit from the mold, cut off the sides to make a smooth circle. Unnecessary parts of the biscuit crumbled, mixed with water and blinded from the resulting mass of “ears” for the muzzle of the monkey.
- Marzipan rolled into a flat layer about 5 mm thick, cut out the “muzzle” on the photo and white parts for the ears.
- Chocolate is divided into two equal parts. & nbsp; Half finely chopped, mixed with cream and put the container on a water bath. Heat the chocolate with cream, stirring constantly, until the chocolate dissolves completely.
- Lubricate the sides with the cream and top of the biscuit, cover them with ears from the crumbled biscuit. The remaining chocolate is finely chopped, put on a water bath and heated, stirring, until it is completely melted.
- Cover the whole cake with melted chocolate, immediately press on the sides of the ears, glue small circles of marzipan to them . And on top of the cake put the muzzle of the monkey from the marzipan, lightly press it and draw the eyes, the mouth with the melted chocolate.
- Leave the finished cake in the form of a monkey for at least 1.5-2 hours for impregnation and freezing in the refrigerator. 15 minutes before serving, remove it from the refrigerator and let it sit for a while at room temperature. Have a nice tea!
