- 200 g butter
- 1 salted herring (weight of peeled fillet 150 g)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- a small bunch of fresh dill
- 1 tsp mustard
Recipe for cooking at home
Herring peel off the skin and bones, cut the fillets into very small pieces, can be ground with a fork. Fold the chopped fillets in a separate bowl, cover it with a food film or lid.
Place the egg in a small pan, pour cold water and put on fire. After boiling, boil the egg until cooked for about 10 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and pour its contents with cold water for several minutes. The cooled egg is peeled and grated on a large grater.
Butter (you need to get it out of the refrigerator in advance and leave it for 15 minutes warm), combine it with mustard and grind with a fork until it is completely homogeneous.
Add herring to the mustard oil, grate the egg, pour the lemon juice and grind again. Dill rinse, dry and chop. Prepare a rectangular sheet of food film, spread the whole surface of the crushed dill.
Along the rectangle lay a strip of herring oil, wrap everything tightly in the film, form the sausage and tie the remaining ends of the film at the ends (you can tie them in a knot or tie with a thread).
