Ingredients

Pie with potatoes and stuffing:

  • 450 grams of flour
  • 250-300 ml of kefir (can be replaced with serum )
  • 250 g of margarine (or butter)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt

Filling for potato pie and minced meat:

  • 0.5 kg of minced meat
  • 90 ml of broth (not strong), can be replaced with water and bouillon cube
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1 bulb
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt, pepper to taste

Recipe for cooking at home

  1. Margarine / butter put in the freezer for 10 minutes. Sift flour with baking powder and salt, stir. Remove margarine from the freezer and grate it in a dough on a grater, carefully knead it all with a fork.
  2. Continuing kneading the dough with a fork, pour kefir into it. Knead the dough carefully with hands and form a ball from it. Wrap the dough for a pie with potatoes and minced food film or put in a cellophane bag. Leave it in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, prepare the filling for a pie of potatoes and minced meat. Peel onion and cut into small pieces. Tooth cloves very finely chopped. Pour into the frying pan 2-3 tablespoons. of vegetable oil and put on fire.
  4. Put the onions and garlic in the preheated oil and fry them over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced meat to the frying pan and fry it until cooked for 10-15 minutes, constantly forming lumps with a spatula. Close to the end salt and pepper forcemeat to taste.
  5. Remove the frying pan from the heat and leave to cool. Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide into two unequal parts (approximately 2: 3). Heat the oven to 180 ° C, grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour.
  6. Most of the dough is rolled out on a surface covered with flour in a round layer and put into a mold. Evenly distribute the dough around the bottom and form the sides around 3 cm. Pour the stuffing from the potato and the mince over the dough.
  7. The remaining dough is rolled in a circle and put on top of the filling . In the center of the top layer of the dough, make a small round hole. Yolk the eggs separated from the protein and beaten with a fork a couple of times. Lubricate the surface of the dough with yolk and send the form to a preheated oven.
  8. Bake a pie with potatoes and minced for about an hour at the specified temperature. At the same time 3-4 times to open the oven, take out the pie and pour into the center two tablespoons of meat broth or hot water. Thanks to this procedure with the broth, the filling will be juicy.
  9. Then take out the form and cover it with a light towel for 10 minutes. Remove the towel, gently place the cake on a dish and cut it into portions. Serve the cake with potatoes and minced meat to the table hot. Bon appetit!
