The recipe for cooking porridge for beginners. You can add any fried vegetables to it, or you can add fruit or honey.

- 250 ml of pure water
- 100 gr of cereal
- 1 onion
- 1 tomato
- 1 tsp butter
- salt, pepper to taste
Recipe for cooking at home
- In a saucepan, boil 250 ml of water, salt it. Rinse the barley thoroughly and pour into boiling water. Boil the barley porridge for 15 minutes with a gentle boil, stirring.
- Then you can put the porridge in a preheated oven for 160C for half an hour. And you can continue to cook the barley porridge on the stove for another 15 minutes, then remove from heat and cover with a lid. Wrap the barley porridge in a dense fabric and leave to be prepared.
- Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onion. In a frying pan heat 1 tbsp. Vegetable oil and fry the onion until golden brown. Wash tomato and cut into small cubes, add to onions and fry for a couple of minutes.
- Add the butter, onions, tomatoes and stir into the finished barley porridge. If necessary – salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with finely chopped herbs and serve.
